This article is intended to guide you through understanding the concept of Call-to-Action (CTA) and how to create one for your videos in our platform.
Understanding Calls-to-Action
A Call to Action, often abbreviated as CTA, is a directive intended to prompt an immediate response from your viewers. The CTA is a button or link that you place at the end your video to compel viewers to take certain actions, such as visiting a website, sending an email, making a phone call, or downloading a file.
There are various types of CTAs you can create, including:
-
Auto-Forward to Any Website: This type of CTA redirects viewers to a specific web page once they click the CTA button at the end of the video.
-
Receive Emails Directly from Viewers: This CTA starts an email draft to a specified email address on your viewer's connected email account. This can be used for indicating interest, questions, feedback, or any other communication purposes.
-
Receive Phone Calls Directly from Viewers: With this CTA, viewers can directly make a phone call to the provided number for more personal and immediate communication.
-
Download Digital Files: This CTA allows viewers to download a digital zip file up to 5MB in size, providing an easy way to share files with your viewers. This can be used to share PowerPoints, applications, or other documents.
How to Create a CTA
Follow the steps below to create a Call to Action for your video:
-
Click on your video. If required, log in to your account.
-
Once the video opens, click on 'Customize Video' located on the top right of the video.
-
In the dropdown menu that appears, select 'Call-to-Action'. This will open a sidebar on the right side of your video.
-
In this sidebar, you can change what the button says and select your desired CTA type. The options include auto-forwarding to any website, receiving emails, receiving phone calls, or allowing viewers to download a digital zip file.
-
After choosing your desired CTA type, input the required information. This could be a URL for a website, an email address, a phone number, or a zip file, depending on your chosen CTA.
-
You can adjust the color of the CTA button and the text within it to suit your video's aesthetics and ensure visibility.
-
Once you're satisfied with your CTA, click 'Create CTA' to save it.
Adding a CTA to your video is an excellent way to guide your viewers to the next step, encouraging interaction and enhancing your video's effectiveness.
